hobbies

violin

I’ve played Indian classical violin for over 7 years and have performed numerous concerts in the U.S. and India! Violin has remained the one daily constant in my life and has become engrained into my routine.

basketball

My favorite sport for as long as I can remember and a hobby that I can share with a majority of my friends -- whether that be playing pick-up or watching the NBA playoffs in the middle of finals season.

chess

I got into chess in highschool and became super involved during COVID. It has taught me so much about patience and the importance of not overlooking the little things.

yoga

Started yoga last summer as a way to gain more flexibiltiy in my hips and hamstrings. Because I sit with my legs crossed while playing violin, sitting for long hours has remained a challenge for as long as I can remember. Yoga has really helped to mitigate these issues.

campus involvement

Phi Chi Theta – Director of Fundraising

Lead fundraising initiatives for a professional business fraternity. Helped to raise funds and plan new events that involved the entire brotherhood.

RU Dhol Effect – Co-President

Coordinate performances, manage rehearsals, and organize logistics for our South Asian fusion band. This group has given me some of my favorite memories at Rutgers.

BITS Club – Tech & Business Initiatives

Worked on modernizing the club website and continuing to add resources for the overall tech community of students at Rutgers.
